John grew up in the Philadelphia area and worked in the casino industry in Atlantic City. After being in California for a few years, John seized an opportunity to open the first location in Sunset Beach in 1990. Coming from a fine dining background, John stayed true to his love of homemade dishes, using only the freshest ingredients and rolls baked fresh every day. Since opening the first location in 1990, many franchises with a similar concept have popped up, but we still remain a family-owned business that prides itself in superior customer service.
