Los Alamitos/Seal Beach NJB invites boys and girls grades 1 through 8 to play basketball. Our program includes regular-season games, playoffs, all-star programs, pictures, insurance, and certified referees. Our season typically runs from November through March, which includes a regular season of approximately 8 games followed by a playoff tournament. The tournament includes all teams and is seeded according to their regular season standing. Trophies are awarded to the 1st & 2nd place teams at the conclusion of the regular season. Trophies are also awarded to the 1st & 2nd place teams in the playoff tournament.

Los Alamitos Youth Baseball (LAYB) is a non-profit youth baseball organization. Based in Los Alamitos, California, LAYB is an all-volunteer organization that offers both Fall and Spring baseball programs to boys and girls ages 4-12. We serve Los Alamitos and neighboring communities including Seal Beach, Long Beach, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton, Westminster and Cypress. LAYB is a member of PONY Baseball and plays by PONY rules. Despite what the league website says, in 2022 LAYB is celebrating its 65th season.  It began in 1958 as the Rossmoor Little League and played its games where the Rossmoor Townhomes now stand.  It is the second oldest youth league in West Orange County, only Seal Beach, which began in 1955 is older.   As Rossmoor grew, the league had to change locations each year and the league played games at what became Rush School (and now Rush Park), the Wilson School site (now Rossmoor Park), land adjacent to AJ Plumping Supply (now the new Los Alamitos Apartments) and beginning in 1962 at the Base — where the older Pony and Colt Leagues had started playing a year before.  That year it also changed its name to the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Little League and a few years later it became known as Los Al Jr. Baseball.  In 1999 it merged with the older Pony Leagues to form Los Alamitos Youth baseball.
