Serving Hand Crafted Authentic Gourmet Belgian Waffles
Sara Ho, at just 25 years old, is the owner and chef of À LA WAFFLE. Having her own bakery has been a life long dream of hers and it came true on July 11, 2017 when she opened À LA WAFFLE. Infatuated with baking and desserts since age 5 , Sara would continue baking desserts over the years when she wasn’t working countless odd jobs as a waitress, secretary, intern, and being a full time student at California State University of Long Beach. After graduating from CSULB in 2015 with a BS in American Studies and a minor in Hospitality Food Service and Hotel Management, she found herself a position working at Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion restaurant as a line cook specializing in pastry. There she realized that she could make a career out of food and be a happier person doing so. She knew she had to start that bakery she had always dreamed of since she was little. Now with all the full support from her family and friends and countless hours of work by Sara and her loved ones, À LA WAFFLE has been created and Sara can not wait to keep providing you all with high quality desserts to keep everyone’s sweet tooth delighted.

Jill Kinney Pharis is the originator/owner and established Sweet Jill’s Bakery in 1987. Learning to bake farm favorites from her grandmother throughout her childhood, she perfected the old-fashioned cinnamon roll. They were an instant success. Shortly thereafter, these freshly baked delights were the talk of the town and the local beach communities.
In 1994 Sweet Jill’s Bakery began providing a wide variety of pastries to local cafes, corporate events, and businesses in the area. In addition to retail, both stores gradually expanded into catering, wholesale, delivery services to coffeehouses, airlines, airports and shipping to customers nationally.

We offer at least 24 ever-changing flavors made fresh in our ice cream shops daily. With over 150 handcrafted flavor recipes in rotation,
Bruster’s story starts in 1989 with Bruce Reed, the “Bruce” in Bruster’s, and his passion to provide the community with fresh homemade ice cream. Bruster’s Ice Cream is made the old-fashioned way, with slow kettle processing designed specifically to create the Bruster’s flavor. Because every generous scoop is made in-house—just a few steps from the counter where it’s served—it always tastes thick, creamy and fresh.
We also serve artisan desserts made to order, including crunchy handmade waffle cones and bowls, customized sundaes, candy-filled blasts, ice cold freezes and thick milkshakes.
It’s a process that simply makes Bruster’s A Scoop Above The Rest.
