About
Welcome to Shenandoah at the Arbor! For more than three decades, Rick and Jill Wilson have been serving delicious, home-style cooking with a fresh, upscale flair. Their creative approach to cuisine has earned them a loyal following of customers who, over the years, have become more like family. And for the Wilsons, family, friends, and food are their recipe for success.
The original Shenandoah opened in the Long Beach neighborhood of Naples in 1983 with a menu inspired by Rick’s Southern roots.  One year later, the restaurant moved up the street to scenic Belmont Shore. It was here that Shenandoah gained acclaim for its American regional cooking, especially after winning raves from a Los Angeles Times food critic. Shenandoah became prominent on the local food scene, and it was not unusual to spy a celebrity or two enjoying apple fritters and Granny’s fried chicken.
After two decades in the Shore, the Wilsons opened a location in Los Alamitos, in 2003. Set within a quaint bungalow in Arbor Village, Shenandoah continues its legacy of dressed-up, down-home cuisine. The restaurant is ideal for a lovely meal with friends or family, a casual night out, or a special celebration. The outdoor dining patio is especially charming, with its shady mulberry trees, koi ponds, and lush gardens.
Shenandoah offers live entertainment weekly and a variety of themed evenings throughout the year, so be sure to check out the Special Events page to learn more!
Rick and Jill look forward to welcoming you to the family. They’ll have a table waiting.
